Apple Walnut Tart ...

* 3 (12-ounce) packages Stouffer harvest apples
* 1 cup chopped walnuts, toasted
* 3 tablespoons packed light brown sugar
* 1/4 teaspoon apple pie spice
* 1 1/4 cups graham cracker crumbs
* 1/4 cup ground walnuts carefully
* 3 tablespoons packed light brown sugar
* 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine, melted
* 3 large egg whites whitesegg-
* 1/4 teaspoon cream Tarter
* 1/4 cup of granulated sugar

INSTRUCTIONS
Thaw escalloped apples in a microwave oven at MEDIUM (50% of energy), 6 or 7 minutes. Mix together the apples, roasted walnuts, 3 tablespoons brown sugar, and apple pie spice. Reserved.
Mix together graham cracker crumbs, and then all of a sudden 3 elements until combined. Press mixture firmly 11-inch tart pan, or maybe a 9-inch pieplate.
Bake at 350F (175C) and eight to ten minutes. Place the pie shell aside.
Whisk the egg whites whitesegg, and cream of tartar very quickly through an electric mixer until foamy. More granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon continuously, the peaks form a foam by beating the sugar and soluble in (two to four minutes).
Spoon the apple mixture evenly over crust spread with meringue, sealing of the marginal shell. Read More
